Sapience Spatial

The need for semantic annotations is most apparent for geospatial data. On the one hand, this kind of data usually ships in some kind of binary format like satellite images or the shapefiles generated by desktop GIS software. But the represented information, on the other hand, does always refer to geographic space. It just seems to be natural to link the spatial, non-descriptive data to descriptive documents, the annotations. The libraries included represent a common feature model (compliant to the ISO Standard 19109 General Feature Model)

All libraries here are part of the sapient.spatial module.
