Editing show information in the Sage Webserver
The 1.2 version of the sage webserver has a new feature which allows you to edit the show information that is associated with TV recordings, and imported media files.
WARNING
This is an experimental feature, and may result in you losing the EPG information for a show. (The file itself should not be lost) Use at your own risk!
This page can be found by viewing the detailed info for a file (having found the file using search or Sage Recordings) then clicking the [Edit Show Info] link at the bottom of the page.
This allows renaming of shows (useful for Timed Recordings), or correcting the shows DB data.
It will result (for various reasons) in the file being renamed to match Sage's TV recording file convention, so if you use external utilities such as comskip, the associated files will need to be renamed manually.
It will also result in the file becoming an Archived SageTV recording... In STV's such as SageMC, this will simply result in the file being locked, but in !OriginalV2 based STV's, the file will disappear from the Sage Recordings list, and be added to the 'Archived SageTV recordings' list. For a workaround see the Include Archived module?, or see this forum thread on How-To Un-archive
It can also be used to add DB data for shows in the Imported Video Files (they can be found using the Search page), but due to a possible bug in 2.2.8 (and lower) of Sage, if they were in a Library Import Directory, the show will be re-added as an import, as well as being an Archived SageTV Recording.
2 workarounds:
- First put the file in a TV recordings directory, refresh the library, then edit the show data.
- Edit the show data, shutdown Sage server/service, them move the file to a TV recordings directory.
This has the added advantage that the file will be un-archived.
