optical zoom locked again after digital zoom

Description

When unlocking optical zoom in movies, it works well except that if you keep zooming with the digital zoom after the optical zoom, you can unzoom the digital zoom, but not the optical zoom: it's locked at the max (I have an SD1000).

Yas, i experienced it on A710 in the builds. It is solved in latest builds. I think 51+ is ok. http://grandag.nm.ru/hdk/autobuild/

Well it doesn't seem to be solved for my SD1000_Ixus70 in r408. Do you know which commit fixed this for your build? I tried to look at the source code, I guess the unlocking flag is reset when digital zoom is triggered, but I didn't find out how to detect this event. For now I preferred disabling the digital zoom in movie record mode, but it can be useful sometimes... :-(

I noticed this too...have 51 on SD1000, but turned off digital zoom and then fine. Honestly, though, digital zoom, especially in video is worthless.

Yes from a quality point of view it seems worthless in video, but it can be useful for framing, especially in video since you cannot easily reframe your video.

My main problem at first was because I had not seen that it was possible to disable digital zoom only in video, so I was often inadvertently blocked at full zoom, and that was very annoying, hence the "major" priority. I agree now that this is just a "minor" bug, but an admin will have to change that because I was not registered yet when I filled out this report...
